Before you move out of your rented property, you must end your tenancy
agreement first. If you don’t end your tenancy, you’ll be liable to pay rent.
Details on how to end your agreement depends on whether your agreement is for a
fixed terms (6 or 12 months) or is periodic (week to week or month to month).
To legally end an agreement, both
sides must agree and sign the document. If your tenancy agreement is on fixed
term basis, the tenant can’t just leave the property whenever they want, but
have to wait until the agreement expires. However, there might be some
exceptions wheres both parties can end the agreement before the end of the
fixed term.
